E4 Pride.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.

1 Peter 5:6

Maybe this is why I fail.

I am the biggest failure ever; even bigger than those who don't even try.

GROUNDS:

  • I know better than my parents.
  • I'm the white sheep in the family.
  • I'm the whole family's favorite.
  • I am better than my cousins.
  • I am better than all of the kids in the whole clan.
  • I am even better than some of the grown ups.
  • I do not approach people. They approach me.
  • I do not ask for help. I do not need it.
  • I do not apologize first. They lost a friend, not me.
  • I never beg.

Of course, these are not true. Although, there are times that I think they are, but I try to avoid them.

I don't know why. It's so stupid.

God help me.

New Stuff

I have never loved shopping until I came to Norway.

I'm not saying that Philippine products suck.
It's just that when we shop there, we buy things we need. We never have time to look around.

In Tagum, there's only one mall. Actually, I wouldn't even call it a mall. Just some big supermarket.
In Davao, I can't shop because my allowance is good for one week. And heck no I don't wanna starve for shoes.

On weekends I go back to Tagum. So I can't window shop or anything.
On some Sundays, the whole family goes to Davao to save me from commuting and look around.

But we don't shop. We rarely do.
I think that has something to do with mom being in Norway and all.
Dad's thrifty. So am I. We only buy stuff we need.

ANYWAY.

Today we went to Strømmen Storsenter.
Mammoth Sale at ARK. Of course I bought something!
3 for 2 sale on the Twilight Saga. I got Eclipse and Breaking Dawn! New Moon sold out. I got The Host to complete the three. YEY!
I got a blue mattress cover at Bohus.
Grabbed a bite to eat at Burger King.
I don't know what the others did.

I bought a new comforter for my Superman bedsheet at IKEA.
HAHA That was it really.
I was dehydrated. IKEA is huge. It was a long walk around.

Had fun :)

S2E3 No.

A perverse man stirs up dissension, and a gossip separates close friends.

Proverbs 16:28

What more do you want from me?

You declared it over the moment you let that other girl in; for the reason that I "intimidate" you?

That's not an excuse.

What you have done just in the past couple of days was enough to thrash my happiness.

I have never been treated so coldly by someone until you came into the picture.

You don't go around ruining the lives of people who have moved on from you!

What? You think you're so special that you can't be forgotten?

Well think again, homie.

E3 Be Kind, Rewind

I got sick of listening to Ke$ha's Animal, Justin Bieber's My World, Jay Sean's All or Nothing, and whatever else is new.

So I dedided to shuffle, which I rarely do, honestly. I like my music organized and arranged by track number according to the original album's track listing.

Anyways, I shuffled and found Savage Garden.

When I was around 8, my dad used to play his tape of their Affirmation album on our weekly drive to the family resort.

With the car parked, I'd ask my dad to lave the stereo on because I wanted the people to hear.

Basically, Savage Garden sang to me and my brother (my little brother wasn't born yet) and my cousin (none of my younger cousins were even born, too) while we played around the beach.

And these past few days have reminded me of how awesome the two-man band is.

Here's my favorite track from the album. The Best Thing.

Have a good weekend! I know I will! Winter break, baby, yeah!!!

Lent Season

Time to decide what to give up for 40 days :)

What I'm avoiding are...

  • pork
  • beef
  • rice
  • junk food
  • soda

Good luck to me!

Right now, I'm studying for the Physics test tomorrow.

Dagnabbit. 5 chapters of Wave Phenomena. x_x

Happy Lent!

S2E2

Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

John 15:13

Better late than never. :)

It's 4:30am on a Monday.

I just wrote a page for this essay. I still need time for the 2 lab reports and the 3 tests.

I have to be up in 30 minutes to shower and cook breakfast.

I thank God for the weekend, but right now I really need some sleep.

S2E2 Valentine's Day Thingy

It's not until tomorrow from where I am right now but what the heck.
If I had a song for my special someone (and the world knows who that is), it would be..
by my one of my favorite bands, Relient K.

The song is called I'm Taking You With Me.
The title says it all.
I'm here, he's there.
But I'm taking [the thought of] him with me.
"I'm Taking You With Me"
 I made a habit
Of never making promises
That aren't easy to keep
And there you have it
But now I'll make you one that is
To keep you here with me
But as every second that goes by
I feel it's just a waste of time
If I'm not with you
If home is where the heart is
Then my home is where you are
But it's getting oh so hard
To spend these days
Without my heart
So I'm taking you with me
Anywhere that I
Could ever wanna be
For the rest of my life
I want you there with me
And if there ever comes a time
When I should have to leave
I hope you know that I
I'm taking you with me
And so I'm trying
To hold it all together and
Make it through the day
When I'm just dyin'
To drop it all and take your hand
So we can run away
from all the miles and the hours
That seem to endlessly devour
The time that I could be with you
If home is where the heart is
Then my home is where you are
It's getting oh so hard
To spend these days
Without my heart
So I'm taking you with me
Anywhere that I
Could ever wanna be
For the rest of my life
I want you there with me
And if there ever comes a time
Where I should have to leave
I hope you know that I
I'm taking you with me
Every second that goes by
Is one more second of my life
And it couldn't be more clear
That I would die without you here
And every second that goes by
Is one more second of my life
And it couldn't be more clear
I'm dying without you here
Yeah every second that goes by
So I'm taking you with me
Anywhere that I
Could ever wanna be
For the rest of my life
I want you there with me
And if there ever comes a time
Where I should have to leave
I hope you know that I
I'm taking you with me

Sweden Again

I haven't talked about it before but it's the usual monthly visit to the Norway-hating country.

Pit Stop: an Asia Boutique in Strømstad

Destination: Nordby Shopping Center

We usually buy groceries and order take-out.

The last two trips were different.

MaxiMat

We didn't want to overshop because we still had a lot of stock left from last time.

But even so, we ended up spending more than last time.

(Had a lot of extra stuff. Like, an RTC Mac and Cheese, for me, haha)

Gottebiten

A few candies and my regular M&M's Crispy.

Asian Town

I had baked shrimp. YUM! It came with rice but thank God my brother wanted it.

New Yorker

Like Oh My F-ing Gosh. Best sale I've been to everrr!

I love my new brown plaid mini.

I love my new green skinnies.

I love my new brown striped jacket!

I love my mom for approving what I wanted to buy.

I love my dad for paying.

I love my brothers for carrying the stuff.

I love today!

Too bad it's ending in about three hours.

Have tons of homework and studying to do.

Oh well.

It's too late but I'm posting a new song for Soul Food tonight!

Season 2 Episode 1

This is beginning to sound lame, but what the heck! Lame is the new cool. Says I.

The number 2 band in my life is Switchfoot.

If you do not know Switchfoot, you've been living under a rock.

People they say they're a Christian rock band.

Switchfoot refuses to say so. Their songs can be for anyone.

Among the 7 albums, I have one favorite song.

Stars.

It's the most meaningful piece of work I've ever heard.
